Most people think of bartending as a job you do in your hometown.

I used to think that way too.

Then bartending took me from the United States to bars and opportunities across Europe, Scandinavia, and eventually all the way to Longyearbyen, Svalbard, the most northernmost town on Earth.

Today, I’ve worked in six countries and traveled to 45.

I didn’t have some perfectly planned international career. I figured it out through years of mistakes, opportunities, rejection, persistence, and learning how this industry actually works outside the United States.
