Is Living on Svalbard Expensive?

Any traveler will know that the prices of things vary from country to country. Prices on food, drinks, restaurants, and the like. I’ve been to countries that are very inexpensive like Poland where you can get a beer for like 1 Euro. I’ve also been to countries are super EXPENSIVE like Iceland where that same beer could be up to 20 Euro! Meanwhile places like Norway, where I live, will be somewhere close to the middle of those two prices for that same beer. Svalbard is a part of Norway, so you would think it’s the same cost of things in Longyearbyen as it is on the mainland. Not so fast my friend! There is actually a big difference. Watch the video below for the answer! The video also has a funny surprise! Tune in.
