So many people ask me how I ended way up north on Svalbard. Well I wasn’t in the neighborhood that’s for sure! They ask me “How do you get a job on Svalbard?” “What about housing?” “Where do you live?” “What’s it like?”

My journey to Svalbard took me from Europe, to America, back to Europe again. I was in Albania and went to Barcelona, then Brussels, to Stockholm, to Paris, back to Stockholm, then to Tromsø, Norway, over to New York City, then to Oregon, can’t forget Idaho, back to New York, and then finally to Svalbard.
