What It’s Like Being Black And Living on Svalbard 🇳🇴

Outside of America, I don’t ever really feel like a “Black” man. Outside of America, I am just an American. However, being from America there are a lot of people there that ask me “What is it like being Black and living on Svalbard?” It is very true that I am legit the only black person living in Longyearbyen, and likely the whole of Svalbard and Jan Mayen. In fact, in the whole time I have lived here, I have only even SEEN 4 other black people lol. All tourists of course, and 3 of them have been in the last 2 weeks haha. It’s all good though, it’s love way up here. I think it’s too cold for hate.

I know that not everyone likes to read. Some people like to watch and some people like to listen. So here’s the video I made on my experiences here on Svalbard. Enjoy.
