As with everything else in my story, how I got to Svalbard was random af. I had a chance opportunity and I took it! This is how I got to Svalbard. How I got my job, my housing, and everything.

I’m currently the only black person living in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway. People ask me what that is like. Here’s my response.

It took 5 years and 2 visa denials, but I finally did it! This is the crazy story of how I got my visa/residence permit to the wonderful country of Norway.

I never knew about Albania before I stopped in Tirana on my way to Greece. Now it’s literally one of my favorite countries and I can’t wait to go back!
